I actually finished reading this book about two weeks ago and it's still haunting me. There's not much one can say about the plot without giving it away, but it's a freakin' trip. It's one of those books within a book where reality and insanity blur together beautifully. It's set in 1917 Barcelona (this is actually translated from Spanish) and that alone gives it a certain eeriness. This is a really a fucking a good book. Check it out...on the real.

Yo! My boy Maxwell came back with a vengeance on this one. There are only a handful of artists that I will actually drive to the store and pick up a CD from. And when one of my favorites hadn't put out shit in about 8 years, you best believe I headed to Best Buy and picked this up. The bad-ass thing about Maxwell is that he didn't feel the need to come out with some shit that would just get played on the radio. He could've come out with some cookie-cutter R&B joint, but instead came out with an incredible collection of old-school Maxwell shit. When you only have 8 tracks (+ one instrumental track) on your album, it's hard to go wrong. And he doesn't. It's most definitely worth a listen or two or forty.
